Sir Ben Kingsley plays David Kepesh, a middle-aged, successful university professor who falls for his beautiful, enigmatic student Consuela (Cruz). Infatuated, they conduct an intense relationship, falling deeply in love until Kepesh’s jealousy and personal insecurities cause him to question Consuela’s feelings.
